The Breck Film Festival is back for its 44th year, promising an unforgettable celebration of cinema set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
From September 19-22, 2024, film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and curious locals will converge for four days of world-class independent films, engaging panels, lively parties, and the chance to be part of cinema history.
Continuing Our Legacy of Independent Film
The Breck Film Festival has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1981.
What started as a small gathering of film lovers has blossomed into one of the nation’s premier independent film festivals, recognized by USA Today as one of the Top 20 Film Festivals to attend in the country.
Over the past four decades, our festival has showcased thousands of films, launched countless careers, and brought the magic of independent cinema to the high country.
We’ve hosted Oscar winners, indie darlings, and up-and-coming filmmakers, all while maintaining our commitment to fostering an intimate, community-driven atmosphere that sets us apart from larger, more commercial festivals.
Spotlight Films: The Big 4
At the heart of our festival are the Spotlight Films, affectionately known as “The Big 4.”
These are the festival’s must-see events, featuring some of the most anticipated independent films of the year, often accompanied by big-name talent and unforgettable Q&A sessions.

These Spotlight Films will be screened at our largest venue, the Riverwalk Center, ensuring that everyone has a chance to be part of these unforgettable cinematic experiences.

- Peak 10 Pass ($220, regular price $250): The ultimate all-access experience. Enjoy all films, panels, parties, awards ceremonies, and exclusive access to our VIP Lounge.
- Peak 9 Pass ($160, regular price $180): Perfect for the true cinephile. Get access to all film screenings throughout the festival.
- Riverwalk Pass ($80): New this year! Attend all events at our largest venue, the Riverwalk Center, including our Big 4 spotlight films.
- Festival 4-Pack ($55): A great introduction to the festival. Choose any four regular screenings (excludes Riverwalk nights).
