The Best Festival in Breckenridge returns in 2026!
The 46th Annual Breckenridge Film Festival is an unmissable fall weekend in the heart of the mountains, September 17-20, 2026!
There will be more films and less fuss. All attendees will be able to immerse themselves in a packed schedule of screenings, opportunities to connect with filmmakers, and a vibrant sense of community, all set against a backdrop of stunning autumn weather.

Thursday, September 18th
- 3:00 PM 45th Festival Champagne Toast at the Breckenridge Gallery
- Celebrate with us at our official anniversary toast, featuring a special appearance by two-time Oscar nominee Judd Hirsch.
- 7:00 PM OPENING NIGHT: The Best You Can at the Riverwalk Center
- Join us for the premiere screening of this comedy starring two-time Oscar nominee Judd Hirsch, who will be in attendance. The film also features Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.
Friday, September 19th
- 7:00 PM FRIDAY SPOTLIGHT: Rebuilding at the Riverwalk Center
- Don’t miss the screening of this drama, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.
Saturday, September 20th
- 7:00 PM SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT: Adventure Reel at the Riverwalk Center
- Experience an evening of high-octane films with special appearances by professional freeskier Kai Jones and Teton Gravity Research co-founder Todd Jones. The short film Kai Jones’ Falling Into Place will be screened, with both stars in attendance.
Sunday, September 21st
- 7:00 PM CLOSING NIGHT ANNIVERSARY SCREENING: Best in Show at the Riverwalk Center
- The tension is palpable, the excitement is mounting, and the heady scent of competition is in the air as hundreds of eager contestants from across America prepare to take part in what is undoubtedly one of the greatest events of their lives — the Mayflower Dog Show. Join us Sunday for closing night!
