The Breckenridge Film Festival returns for its 46th year, September 17 to 20, 2026, bringing four days of independent film, filmmaker conversations, and mountain-town energy to downtown Breckenridge. Passes are on sale now for one of Colorado’s longest-running film festivals, and one of USA Today’s “Top 20 Film Festivals” in the country.

There are more films and less fuss this year: a packed schedule of screenings, real chances to talk with the filmmakers behind them, and a community that shows up for it, all set against a backdrop of peak fall color in the Rockies.

A Look Back at Last Year’s Festival

The 45th Annual Breckenridge Film Festival brought Judd Hirsch to town for a Champagne Toast at Breckenridge Gallery and an Opening Night screening of The Best You Can alongside Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. Friday’s Spotlight screening, Rebuilding, closed with a filmmaker Q&A, Saturday’s Adventure Reel welcomed Kai Jones and Todd Jones, and the festival closed with an anniversary screening of Best in Show.
